event in its first edition and organized by Matthew Annovazzi : triathlete Bergamo, Italian Champion Ironman athlete and team worker Vipiemme Pepper, Bergamo company that produces solar panels (hence the name "Eco" Race). 2011 race valid for the rank of elite athletes, but also open to amateurs. Sprint Distance: 5 km run, 20 km bike, 2.5 km run .
| I thought about it a bit '. The decision to try it after the "simulation" of the previous Saturday, when I was able to complete the three fractions in less than two hours, the time limit for the race. Ale ale, there's always a first time and above all there is always something to learn! |
First fraction: 5 km run . Around the silence of the fields, the renewed pleasure in the legs della corsa, dopo tanti mesi di sofferenza. Intorno voci, grida, incitamento. I understand the astonishment of those who see the first pass and then elite triathletes who lingers to thread the braid between the webbing of the helmet, but otherwise I do not care if it's my baby. End on the red carpet, now serves concentration: it is only the third time I use my Lady on the road, has always been on its rolls.
Second fraction: 20 km bike . Here I am riding my Lady. Go baby, now it's up to you! There are two rounds to 10 km. Wow, I seem to fly on this asphalt plain Strabello! I feel that the road is more soft rolls and put the change harder. I settles below the "limit", meaning to limit the ride that makes you feel quadriceps fatigue. For the first time I see the measure of speed: 30 km / h. Just for the real athletes, very well for me. What I enjoy. Pure pave a stretch: fortunately appeared by surprise after a curve and then riding the whole way not to lose his balance. Numerous precious and guardian angels with the jacket and orange flags in hand, placed at all junctions and roundabouts for cyclists and stand watch over the curses of drivers. Great work of these volunteers, for which I find the breath to shout a "Thank You". Cut all round so that they become almost straight, very funny. During my first lap I athletes are ahead of the true: light arrows dart away like a whisper. The second round also comes to me, and then back to the transition area. Attention in the release liners ... ok, we are still standing. In a moment I take off everything and I'm already running.
Third fraction: 2.5 km run . The feeling of racing just got off the bike is strange: it seems to have the legs to be packed and still, in fact, run as before. After a short stretch of tarmac, here is a soft path protected by trees. What a nice quiet place! Relaxes the mind after the merger for the road bike! The calves would like to thank the grass and wet earth. Just out of the woods you cross the 4 MW PV power plant: wow, straganza! What pannelloni giants! Curiosity distracts from fatigue after a curve and the door of the goal. I've done it!
I arrived! At 1:18 a.m. ' , I thought of using a lot more. Made only a month of rollers and treadmill gave on fruits. I'm happy, happy, happy . I falls on a gassing that I will get to jumping and wagging his tail. The greeting to a friend. The organizers thank the attentive and smiling. Back to my baby: a pat on the handlebar and a friendly pat on the saddle, thank you because it was very good, I'll take the hand and return to base. Hot shower and pasta party in the canteen of Vipiemme: really good organization . So the awards in front of large panels for the occasion warm smile to athletes. How happy I am. I have no words to describe the joy to be able to accomplish this "business". With all that I have suffered this year, after eight months without running, who would have ever imagined. My first chest in 2010. In the lonely back home runs off a few tears, but this time it's just joy, mixed with a little 'tired :-) beautiful experience, which leaves the desire to try again .

New this type of fatigue: the leg muscles are well , just some cramping in the abdomen probably due to the tension. The adductors are not made to feel anything: officially promoted New Balance 902, A2 . They are the only ones that I do not wake up the adductors, and from now on I will always use them. And then, Sunday ...
Indispensable back to the roots for a non-competitive wild taste, as I like, up and down trails in the woods. To rest the body but also the mind after the voltage for the race on Saturday. A marvel of rainy autumn, golden leaves on soft mud, wet forest and fragrant earth. Totally unexpected response of the physical, demanding climbs on which to vent his office and on which he enjoyed as never before. Lots of rain. Found pleasure. In the end I 16 km of tasty and downs 1:35 a.m. ' . That's great, I'm fine. In the solitude of back home runs off a few more tears, only joy here, too, mixed with a little 'tired :-) ale ale, just now, you need to cut the wood! Blogtrotters greetings, good week!
